We've always loved the combination of salmon and asparagus. For a nice simple classic meal you can't go far wrong with a salmon steak and steamed asparagus with butter and new potatoes. If it happens to all be in season and really fresh even better.
However there are also lots of very tasty recipes combining these two ingredients and we ate one last night which inspired me to write it up here for you to give a try.

I'm sorry I failed to take a photo but I will next time we cook it. The recipe is very simple, cooking the salmon in the pastry parcel keeps it beautifully moist. INGREDIENTS4 medium sized salmon steaks 4 sheets filo pastry 6 thick or 12 thin asparagus spears about 12 mid sized button mushrooms Olive oil Directions
